Technology may support aviation expertise. Responsibility remains human.
Artificial intelligence is increasingly used in the development and operation of digital services. Flyntal recognises the opportunities offered by this technology while also recognising its limitations and the importance of transparency, confidentiality, human responsibility and appropriate oversight.
This statement explains how Flyntal currently uses artificial intelligence, how AI-generated and AI-assisted content is handled and what users should understand when encountering such content through Flyntal. It applies to Flyntal’s public website and to communications published under the Flyntal name. It should be read together with Flyntal’s Responsible AI Principles, Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions and any additional information provided in connection with a particular platform function.
Current use of artificial intelligence
Flyntal currently uses third-party artificial intelligence tools to support selected development, editorial and creative activities. These tools may assist with drafting, structuring and revising written content, language and translation support, software development, technical testing, information organisation and the creation or editing of visual material.
Artificial intelligence is used as a supporting tool. Its output is not treated as an independent source of authority, verification or professional judgement. Flyntal determines whether and how AI-assisted material is used and remains responsible for content published under the Flyntal name.
Flyntal does not currently provide a user-facing AI chatbot. It does not currently use artificial intelligence to make final decisions concerning the admission, approval, verification, employment, engagement or regulatory authorisation of a professional or organisation.
Visual content and background imagery
The background imagery, concept visuals and certain illustrative elements used across the public Flyntal website have been generated or materially created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, these visuals are used for illustrative, conceptual and branding purposes. They are not documentary photographs and do not depict actual Flyntal operations, customers, employees, registered professionals, facilities, aircraft, partnerships, assignments or completed activities.
The appearance of an aircraft, maintenance environment, hangar, workplace, uniform, professional, organisation or operational situation within an illustrative visual does not indicate that Flyntal owns, operates, represents, approves or has a commercial relationship with the depicted or resembling person, organisation, facility or asset.
This statement provides general disclosure regarding decorative and illustrative AI-generated imagery used across the Flyntal website. Flyntal does not place an individual notice on every decorative background or concept image solely because artificial intelligence contributed to its creation.
Where particular AI-generated or AI-manipulated content is subject to a specific disclosure requirement, or where an additional notice is appropriate to prevent a misleading impression, Flyntal provides further information with the relevant content. Depending on the context, such information may use wording including “AI-generated visual”, “AI-assisted visual” or “AI-generated reconstruction”.
Written content and editorial responsibility
Written content published by Flyntal may be prepared with the assistance of artificial intelligence. AI-generated suggestions are not automatically regarded as accurate, complete, current or verified.
Flyntal determines the final content published under its name and assumes editorial responsibility for that content. The use of an artificial intelligence tool does not transfer that responsibility to the tool or its provider.
Where published material contains relevant legal, regulatory, technical, safety-related or factual information, it must not be relied upon solely because it appears detailed or authoritative. Users should consult the applicable legislation, regulatory publications, approved technical documentation, organisational procedures, competent authorities or appropriately qualified professionals where authoritative information is required.
Content published by Flyntal is intended to explain the platform, its services and relevant industry matters. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does not constitute legal, regulatory, technical, employment or aviation-safety advice.
Verification and professional information
Artificial intelligence is not currently used by Flyntal to independently verify identity, professional competence, licences, type ratings, maintenance authorisations, training records, recency, security clearances, work authorisation, organisational approvals or regulatory status.
Information shown through Flyntal must not be interpreted as confirmation that a professional or organisation is qualified, authorised or suitable for a particular aviation activity unless the relevant evidence has been reviewed through the applicable verification process.
Responsibility for recruitment, engagement, contracting, qualification assessment, regulatory compliance, operational authorisation and aviation safety remains with the individuals, organisations and competent authorities legally responsible for those matters.
Further information about the principles that govern verification, matching and future AI-supported platform functions is available in Flyntal’s Responsible AI Principles.
Future AI-supported functions
Flyntal may introduce automated or AI-supported functions as the platform develops. Such functions may assist users in identifying potentially relevant professionals, organisations, capabilities, opportunities or connections.
A future AI-supported match, ranking, recommendation or compatibility indication would be intended to support discovery and the organisation of information. It would not, by itself, constitute verification, certification, endorsement, approval, selection, employment, engagement or regulatory authorisation.
Where a materially new AI-supported function is introduced, Flyntal will provide additional information where appropriate regarding the purpose, operation and limitations of that function. The relevant privacy, transparency, security and legal requirements will be considered in connection with its actual design and intended use.
Direct interaction with artificial intelligence
Flyntal does not currently present an artificial intelligence system as a human employee, aviation professional, regulator or representative.
If Flyntal introduces a chatbot, virtual assistant or another AI system that directly interacts with users, the nature of that interaction will be disclosed unless it is already unmistakably apparent from the circumstances.
Any information generated through such a function would remain subject to the limitations communicated with that service and would not replace human support, verified professional records or authoritative aviation information.
Personal, confidential and sensitive information
Flyntal’s current use of artificial intelligence for the preparation of public website content is not intended to involve non-public member profiles, identification documents, licence records, security-clearance information, confidential customer information or protected organisational records.
Non-public user information, identification documents, licence records, security information, confidential organisational information and protected platform data are not submitted to unapproved publicly accessible generative AI services as part of ordinary content creation or development work.
Where a future AI-supported platform function requires the processing of personal data or non-public organisational information, information about that processing will be provided through Flyntal’s Privacy Policy or within the relevant platform function as required.
This AI Transparency Statement does not itself establish a legal basis for processing personal data and does not replace Flyntal’s Privacy Policy.
Third-party AI services
Flyntal may use artificial intelligence systems and services provided by third parties. Such services may have their own technical limitations, security characteristics, data-processing arrangements and contractual terms.
The commercial availability or widespread use of an AI service does not mean that it is suitable for every purpose or category of information. Flyntal remains responsible for deciding whether and how a third-party AI service is used within its own activities.
A third-party AI service is not treated as an independent authority on aviation competence, regulatory status, organisational approval, compliance or safety.
Accuracy and appropriate reliance
Artificial intelligence systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, fabricated or contextually inappropriate results. The apparent confidence, detail or professional presentation of an output does not establish that the output is correct.
AI-assisted content and future AI-supported functions must therefore be understood in the context of their intended purpose. Where reliance could have legal, professional, regulatory, contractual or safety-related consequences, the relevant information should be checked against appropriate and authoritative sources.
Where AI-supported information conflicts with applicable legislation, official regulatory information, approved documentation, verified records or a decision made by an appropriately authorised person, the authoritative source takes precedence.
Flyntal does not guarantee that AI-assisted content or future AI-supported functions will always be complete, error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for every individual purpose.
Questions, concerns and corrections
Questions or concerns regarding Flyntal’s use of artificial intelligence may be submitted to:
legal@flyntal.com
This includes concerns that content creates a misleading impression, has been incorrectly described, should have received a more specific AI disclosure, inaccurately represents a person or organisation or contains a material factual error.
Reports should identify the relevant page, content or function and describe the concern in sufficient detail to allow it to be assessed. Depending on the circumstances, Flyntal may clarify, correct, relabel, restrict or remove affected content.
Suspected security vulnerabilities, unauthorised access or security incidents should be reported separately to:
security@flyntal.com
Review and legal status
Flyntal may update this statement as the platform, its use of artificial intelligence and the applicable legal framework develop. A review will be considered when a materially new AI-supported function is introduced, when the current use of artificial intelligence materially changes or when legal, regulatory or technical developments affect the accuracy of this statement.
This statement provides general information about Flyntal’s use of artificial intelligence. It does not replace applicable law, Flyntal’s contractual terms, its Privacy Policy or specific information provided in connection with an individual platform function.
Nothing in this statement limits rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be limited.
